Sustained and budding relationships with our restaurant partners.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our philosophy of placing products in the market is a natural development of four of our core values: <span style=\"color: #ff9b00;\">excellence, elegance, fidelity and quality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9b00;\">Quality<\/span> \u2013 always. <span style=\"color: #ff9b00;\">Simple excellence<\/span>\u2026 so key that it\u2019s our <a href=\"https:\/\/essentialconfection.com\/\">tagline<\/a>. <span style=\"color: #ff9b00;\">Elegance<\/span> \u2013 in the marriage of ingredients and unexplored techniques. <span style=\"color: #ff9b00;\">Fidelity<\/span> in every relationship. New partnerships will continue to align with our core values. We <em><strong>love<\/strong><\/em> supporting what others do well, and standing side by side in ways that benefit our partners as we grow.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ee4266; text-decoration: underline;\">Why Slow the Senses?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve found several ways to <em><span style=\"color: #ee4266;\">slow the senses.\u00a0 <\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: #ee4266;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">First: dwell<\/span> <\/span><span style=\"color: #ee4266;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">on remarkable tastes and textures with <em>gauzy<\/em> attention. <\/span><\/span>\u00a0The simple act of paying deep, relaxed attention to flavors and scents that enrich us heightens the entire product development experience. Next: <span style=\"color: #ee4266;\">to slow the senses eases stress<\/span>. Finally, <span style=\"color: #ee4266;\">creativity is enhanced<\/span> with the simple act of opening space to notice flavor and texture. The richness of Oregon<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-961\" src=\"https:\/\/onpleasurefulpastry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/hazelnuts-1707601_1920-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/onpleasurefulpastry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/hazelnuts-1707601_1920-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/onpleasurefulpastry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/hazelnuts-1707601_1920-88x88.jpg 88w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/> hazelnuts is foundational to flavors that punctuate and complement it: espresso, fig, almond. Figs &#8211; in this case,\u00a0CA Mission figs because we&#8217;re out of season &#8211; offer sweetness, a lovely contrast to the robust, bitter flavor of\u00a0espresso. Almond paste adds a succulence that&#8217;s savory and a bit mysterious. Through trial &#8211; and more trial &#8211; we find the sweet spot where distinct flavors are present in the senses and they become the building blocks of the whole.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ee4266; text-decoration: underline;\">A Writing Practice as a Core Value<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Broadening my well-established writing practice is a personal commitment to striving for <span style=\"color: #ff9b00;\">excellence.<\/span> Like the process of clarifying what works in business, writing poetry and creative non-fiction spur choices for me of how to flourish in voice and in public presence.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Every new product helps us circle back to one of <a href=\"https:\/\/onpleasurefulpastry.com\/index.php\/2021\/10\/25\/the-propellant-that-creates-lift-is-3-2-1\/\">our fundamental purposes<\/a>: to innovate and create unique, elegant and texturally luxurious, pleasureful products that have their roots in time and place. <span style=\"color: #ee4266;\">Slow the senses; slow the living.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The advent of a new year is a chance to slow the senses, to appreciate that which we created in the year past and to seed that which we would like to flower in the new year. &nbsp; We are continually reminded to trust our instincts in professional partnerships.
