Here&#8217;s a smidge of my go-to reads:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Language and imagery flourish on <a title=\"Hortus Cuisine, Summer Vegetable Pizza Pie\" href=\"http:\/\/hortuscuisine.com\/2014\/08\/14\/summer-vegetable-pizza-pie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hortus Cuisine<\/a>. The author&#8217;s focus is simple, regional eating, the ingredients of which arise from a small farm between the Marche and Emilia-Romagna regions of Italy. Luscious photography.<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Princess Tofu\" href=\"http:\/\/www.princesstofu.com\/2014\/07\/12\/san-francisco-guide-3-mission-samovar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Princess Tofu<\/a> imbibes a lightness of humor with a love of tea in San Francisco&#8217;s minimalistic Meccas. It&#8217;s easy to sip with her at <a title=\"Samovar\" href=\"http:\/\/www.samovartea.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Samovar<\/a> while musing over the site&#8217;s poetic intros.<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"The Pastry Department\" href=\"http:\/\/thepastrydepartment.com\/blog\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Pastry Department<\/a> takes a pen and ink approach to professional pastry, the author the pastry chef at Chicago&#8217;s <a title=\"Blackbird Restaurant\" href=\"http:\/\/blackbirdrestaurant.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blackbird<\/a> and Avec restaurants. Yarns of story-telling infused with courage that an aspiring pastry cook may lean on in the hope of a future&#8217;s promise.<\/li>\n<li>Dessert First, a self-proclaimed San Francisco pastry girl, casted about with its <a title=\"Dessert First Roasted Fig Gelato with Balsamic Caramel\" href=\"http:\/\/dessertfirstgirl.com\/2014\/08\/roasted-fig-gelato.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roasted Fig Gelato with Balsamic Caramel <\/a>recipe and reeled me in. Casual reading, a visual pleasure and fully fueled pastry creativity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is my short list.
